Owner Gianluca Deiana

I was born in Sardinia, Italy and grew up spending more time in restaurants than my own home. The energy of the restaurant life was addictive and I knew I’d found my calling. I eventually graduated with honors from the Istituto Alberhiero di Arzachiena, one of the top culinary art institutes in Italy.

This degree, and my passion for food, helped me get my foot in the door at a number of incredible restaurants throughout England and Italy where I worked for several years under a variety of accomplished chefs.

Vitis La Vineria is the embodiment of my passion for wine and Italian cuisine. When you come into Vitis, I hope you feel as though you’ve walked into my kitchen at home. It’s a cozy space, adorned with global art and staffed with knowledgeable servers who will help you find exactly what you like.

Our wine list features interesting glasses and bottles from Italy, France and Spain, and our menu offers a variety of small plates made with local, fresh ingredients from small producers.
